2023

The Government has updated its Alcohol Licensing: Guidance on Temporary Off-Sales Permissions webpage.

The page, which includes a handy FAQ for operators, has been updated to reflect that the off-sales permission, introduced in 2020 by The Business & Planning Act, is set to continue until 31 March 2025 following a Government U-turn this summer.

The webpage can be accessed here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-for-temporary-alcohol-licensing-provisions-in-the-business-and-planning-bill/alcohol-licensing-guidance-on-new-temporary-off-sales-permissions

If you have any questions that are not covered by the FAQ, are experiencing enforcement activity related to off-sales, or want help in making the best use of the temporary permission then please get in touch with one of our experienced team who will be happy to help.

Law correct at the date of publication.
